ISS 24/7 receives SAFETY Act designation from DHS
The ISS 24/7 Command Post system is designed to enhance situational awareness, safety and security at sporting and entertainment events. The technology is meant to record, communicate, monitor and analyze incidents that occur during events, such as bomb threats, suspicious activity or other guest complaints. The DHS approved ISS 24/7, a software development company, as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT) provider.
"The review process performed by the SAFETY Act office requires months of preparation even before submittal for its in-depth technology evaluation,"Jacob Molz, the chief communications officer for ISS 24/7, said. "We are pleased that our clients will possess extra confidence in the protection and value of using ISS 24/7's system to improve situational awareness, safety, and security during their events."
The SAFETY Act ensures that the threat of liability does not deter manufacturers or sellers of anti-terrorism technologies from developing, commercializing and deploying technologies that could mitigate the effects or reduce the risks of large-scale terrorist events. The measure creates certain liability limitations for claims arising out of an act of terrorism where QATTs have been deployed.
ISS 24/7 provides software solutions for incident management, text messaging, maintenance management, credentialing, and lost and found.
