FBI seeks crisis management specialist

The FBI is looking to hire a crisis management specialist.

The responsibilities of the specialist include identifying, planning, acquiring and deploying the resources needed to anticipate, prevent and resolve crises.

The person hired will assist in domestic preparedness and crisis management training, providing basic guidance on command post structure, design implementation, component missions and standard operating procedures. They will also participate in the coordination of special events by providing technical advice regarding the roles of the components of a command post.

The crisis management specialist will facilitate command post operations and provide guidance on component responsibilities and information flow.

The candidate, if hired, will also support training regarding critical domestic or international events for FBI Headquarters staff.

The position is based in Washington, D.C. Applicants must be available to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends, to provide command post and crisis management support.

Requirements for the crisis management specialist position include one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, including planning, identifying and deploying needed resources to handle crises and investigations. The candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret-SCI clearance.

The salary range for the crisis management specialist position is $89,924 to $116,901 per year.
