Strategic Analysis, Inc., is looking for a biodefense scientist to work in Arlington, Va., according to a hiring notice posted on Friday on indeed.com.
The scientist will work with a team to provide technical expertise and program management assistance to a government client.
The person hired will assist the program manager with technical expertise and management. They will provide research support and evaluation, prepare meeting materials and attend program reviews and site visits, as well as ensure interagency communication and interaction.
The scientist will identify technology gaps, perform technical risk management and oversee technology transfers. They will make sure Statement of Work tasks are completed on schedule and that commitments, obligations and expenditures are appropriately and fiscally executed.
The role requires organizing information into a historical timeline and coordinating training and workshops.
Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. with at least five years of experience in immunology, microbiology, molecular biology or molecular genetics. They will have expertise in developing medical countermeasure technologies, conducting pathogen research and federal biodefense programs.
Applicants must be able to analyze, summarize and communicate intellectual content quickly and efficiently, as well as be able to multi-task and respond to tasks quickly.
The person hired must be able to maintain Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
