Argon Electronics announced on Wednesday that Tim Knight was appointed as business development manager to help develop products and promote CBRN/HazMat training for military and first responders.
"We work closely with a number of agencies both at home and abroad, so it was crucial for us to bring in someone who is understanding and sensitive of different cultures and the discretion needed in our industry," Argon Electronics Managing Director Steven Pike said. "Tim's global experience meets that need."
Knight's operational experience in the armed forces as a reservist in Iraq and Afghanistan, coupled with his work in the biological and pharmaceutical industry in bio-decontamination, will assist Argon in developing a reliable and modern range of the best possible CBRN/HazMat training equipment and software.
"Being in active service has given me a thorough understanding of military requirements and in use of CBRN equipment in the field," Knight said. "As a reservist, I appreciate how essential training is, especially in the realistic scenarios that Argon's simulation equipment creates."
Argon Electronics, located in the United Kingdom, manufactures simulators and detection equipment for CBRN defense. Argon's equipment and software are used in response to unconventional terrorism and accidental chemical release.
