PositiveID Corporation adds U.S. Homeland Security expert to advisory board

PositiveID Corporation said on Tuesday that Thomas DiNanno is the newest member of its advisory board, and will join Mike Campbell, Yuval Rabin and Kimothy Smith in securing opportunities for the company's M-BAND and Firefly products.

"PositiveID is very pleased to have another accomplished and well-respected homeland security expert join our Advisory Board," PositiveID Chairman and CEO William Caragol said. "We believe Tom's leadership role at (the Department of Homeland Security) and knowledge of issues affecting our homeland defense will help PositiveID more effectively position and grow our business."

DiNanno is president of Republic Consulting Group, which provides risk management and cyber security solutions to civilian and government clients. He was the deputy assistant secretary for critical infrastructure protection at DHS. He also was the special assistant to the DHS chief of staff and director of corporate relations in the White House Office of Homeland Security.

PositiveID said DiNanno is an expert on current corporate and government interaction. He has represented the U.S. in cooperation initiatives between private industry, government and counter-terrorism initiatives in Latin America, Canada and Europe.

PositiveID Corporation develops biological detection systems for homeland defense and rapid biological testing. The company is working on microfluidic systems for the preparation of biological assays to detect threats and analyze samples.
