JPEO-CBD names Camber to omnibus engineering and support program

The U.S. Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense recently added Huntsville, Alabama-based Camber Corp. to its omnibus engineering and support program.

As part of an indefinite delivery/indefinite contract, Camber will be eligible to bid for up to $400 million in task orders in the three domains of information technology, logistics and engineering and technical. Other prime contractors tapped by the JPEO-CBD will bid on those domains in addition to acquisition, medical areas and business analysis, UPI reports.

"With the award of three domains, and lead by our local Edgewood office, in place for over nine years, Camber continues our reputation as a premier service provider to the JPEO-CBD and its subordinate organizations in all phases of the acquisition life cycle from requirements generation to training and logistics, and ending in operations, sustainment, and eventually demilitarization," Camber said, according to UPI.

A total of 70 companies were awarded spots on the omnibus program engineering and technical support contract for the domains Camber will engage in services for, UPI reports.

"Since 1993, Camber has continuously supported the JPEO-CBD, its predecessors, and subordinate organizations," Camber said, according to UPI. "Throughout this period, Camber has assisted the JPEO-CBD with the design, development, testing, production, fielding and sustainment of over 500 systems.
