Georgia hospitals unite for emergency web portal

The Georgia Hospital Association recently selected SiteVision, Inc., to synchronize its emergency web portal with an external emergency high-speed notification system.

SiteVision worked closely with GHA on its existing system and plans to integrate the current Georgia911 portal with a notification system developed by Twenty-first Century Communications, allowing GHA hospital and affiliated staff to receive emergency messages by SMS, according to

All Georgia911 members will be considered contacts in the TFCC system, and will therefore be able to receive messages as soon as they are issued. The integrated features will allow members to be synchronized with and participate in the system without having to deal with multiple accounts, applications and logins.

Georgia911, with SiteVision's Crisis Care Module, will also create a comprehensive and interactive database of each hospital's capabilities as part of an effort to prepare for a potential large-scale emergency. Statistics collected will include a general profile, type of facility, emergency contacts, regular bed counts and ICU bed counts. SiteVision is also preparing a module for local nursing homes, reports.

GHA is a non-profit trade association for Georgia health systems, hospitals and individuals in administrative or decision-making positions. The organization considers itself a leading advocate for all Georgia hospitals and health care systems.
