Emergency 911 Security, Inc., a full-service security and EMS contractor, has partnered with Universal Detection Technology, a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect against bioterrorism and other infectious health threats.
“Our partnership with Emergency 911 Security will allow government agencies in defense, EMS and first responder community greater access to UNDT’s bioweapons detection equipment,” Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology, said. “We look forward to building our relationship with EMG-911 SEC as they continue on their strategic growth plan aided by their unique government sole source and limited competition contract award,” continued Tizabi.
Universal Detection Technology's biological weapon detection equipment is utilized by both first responders and private industry nationwide. Its bioweapons detection kits are certified as an "Approved Product for Homeland Security" by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The kits are designed to detect and identify up to five separate threats from one sample.
Emergency 911 Security is certified by the federal government for sole source and limited competition contracts of up to $35.5 million dollars per year in sales and is among a rare group of government contracts awarded a small business determination 8(a).
The 8(a) determination allows the federal government to sole source contracts, similar to GSA schedules but with a fraction of the competitors, and is awarded to approximately five percent of government contractors.
The SBA 8(a) Business Development Program allows Emergency 911 Security greater market access and enterprise growth and to award sole-source and limited-competition contracts over a nine-year period.
