Anne Arundel County seeks emergency management specialist

Anne Arundel County in Maryland is looking to hire an emergency management specialist with focus in training and exercise, according to a recent job listing.

The position is responsible for managing the county's training and exercise programs in emergency management and the management of the Office of Emergency Management's WebEOC implementation and development.

This position is expected to coordinate with office staff, other county officials and entities outside of Anne Arundel County. Selected candidates will need to be available on an on-call basis; however, most duties are performed during the traditional work week.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years working experience in a field relating to emergency management, and they should hold a valid driver's license. Candidates should also have completed the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Master Exercise Practitioner and their Master Trainer program or related courses.

Candidates should also be able to meet NFPA 1041 standards in fire service instruction and should provide evidence of substantial knowledge and work in the design and implementation of emergency training programs.

Candidates should possess skill in technical writing and complete the WebEOC Administrator basic intermediate courses in Board Building.
