DRS signs partnership agreement with Beth-El Industries

DRS Technologies and Beth-El Industries of Israel recently reached an agreement to jointly develop chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) protection systems for combat application.

Both companies specialize in defensive technology. Beth-El is considered a top CBRN protection developer and manufacturer. DRS has been making conditioning systems for military applications that include cooling and heating.

"DRS is always striving to offer the best protection for our troops. Partnering with Beth-El Industries allows us to provide superior products," Roger Sexauer, president of the DRS Maritime & Combat Support Systems group, said. "We look forward to expanding our protection systems for the warfighter and giving them an extra peace of mind as we leverage the world's best filtration technology and combine it with our world-class environmental systems."

In the announcement made on Tuesday, DRS addressed the threat of weapons of mass destruction specifically with scientific advances that have made proliferation and development easier for those seeking out weapons of this magnitude. The company stated the importance of developing protection for armed forces in the U.S. and allied countries.

Jedudah Fehlauer, Beth-El marketing and sales head,  expressed the company's excitement in working together in developing technology that utilizes both companies' strengths and expertise.
