JIEDDO hires Lanmark to supply expertise, support services

The Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Oganization (JIEDDO) said on Friday that it has selected Lanmark Technology (LMT) to supply expertise and support services.

LMT will provide technology assessment, integration and program-management services that will allow JIEDDO's Rapid Capability Delivery (RCD) to aid response personnel against improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

LMT specializes in mission support, consulting and solutions for governmental, military and corporate clients to protect assets and individuals with the use of analytics.

“All personnel deployed in harm's way need rapid support to respond to current and emerging threats," LMT Project Manager Jeffrey Freeland said. "LMT has a long history of supporting JIEDDO, and to earn a contract with the RCD showcases our ability to respond quickly with high-quality support."

The company has clients globally and was founded by Lani Hay, a former intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy. The company utilizes former military service personnel and mathematicians to provide statistical analysis to allow clients to make informed decisions, and in some cases make life-saving choices, LMT said.

JIEDDO was established in 2006 by the Department of Defense to alleviate damage to individuals and property from IED attacks by implementing measures to reduce their effectiveness. The group also works with foreign governments to curb IED activity.
