Detection Technology announces board changes

Detection Technology PLC, said on Monday that it has changed its board of directors following the annual meeting of shareholders that took place in February.
The five-member board consists of Heikki Allonen, Petri Niemi, Henrik Roos, Ari Saarenmaa and Andreas Tallberg, wh will serve as the board's chairman. Allonen and Roos are new members to the board.
The announcement of the change in leadership was meant to coincide with the release of Detection Technology shares on the North Star market.
The Finland-based company specializes in imaging techniques that utilize X-ray technology. It serves security and medical applications on a global scale. Over the course of 2014, net sales amounted to approximately $34.9 million. The company has operating offices in Espoo and Oulu, Finland; Beijing; Hong Kong; and Boston.
Nasdaq Helsinki announced that shares from Detection Technology were made available on the market on Monday.
Detectuin Technology President and CEO Hannu Martola said the company looks forward to faster implementation of the company's growth strategy with new shareholders.
