The National Preparedness and Response Science Board (NPRSB) will hold a public meeting on Jan. 30.
Part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the NPRSB will swear in six new voting members and two existing board members during the meeting. Written comments may be submitted until the meeting date.
The NPRSB provides expert analysis to the HHS and other governmental bodies regarding chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) agents. The board provides technical and scientific information so that emergency response offices are accurately managing and treating situations in which these agents are involved. Agents in this category can occur as accidents, naturally and in attacks.
