The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is looking to hire an administrative services branch chief for its office in Denton, Texas.

Responsibilities include assisting the division director with building and maintaining strategic initiatives and objectives supporting regional goals. The successful candidate will coordinate a multi-year budget and manage the budget's execution.

Additionally, the branch chief will oversee the division's employees, assuring the implementation of program goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing senior-level program analysis in developing, planning and improving new initiatives.

Minimum qualifications include a full year of specialized experience at or equal to GS-13 federal grade level, as well as experience in providing technical advice, financial management and administrative support and/or implementing human resources programs.

Each applicant must be a U.S. citizen and pass a background investigation. The salary range is $103,226 to $134,189. The application deadline is Dec. 18 or after the 200th application is received, whichever comes first.

The position has some occasional non-emergency travel. All FEMA employees are subject to mandatory availability for around-the-clock emergency management operations, which could include irregular work hours. Travel to locations to support emergency operations could last weeks or months. FEMA is the main federal agency responsible for recovery efforts in response to any national emergency.
