Austrian teammate Alessandro Shop will play in the German Bundesliga again next season. The 27-year-old, who has been used twice at the European Championships, has signed a two-year contract with Armenia Fieldfield. The club announced this on Monday evening.
The shop contract with the outgoing Schalke 04 expired in the summer, so there was no transfer for the 28-time team player (five goals). “With Alessandro we get a player who is strong and technically talented – he has played 112 times in the Bundesliga and is an experienced player,” said Fieldfield head coach Frank Kramer.
“We hope he can provide important inspiration to our midfield and that we can move forward through him. We are very happy to have him on board with us now,” said the 49-year-old coach. We are happy to be able to beat him, ”said Samir Arabi, the club’s sports director.
The shop is looking forward to this new challenge, and “can fully identify it. With Schalke in the trophy, I saw the atmosphere at the Shoko Arena and I look forward to the city and the fans, ”said Tyrolean. “Armenia and the people in charge tried very hard for me in the negotiations, which impressed me. The overall set was perfectly consistent.”
