He is second on the throne, but he is first on his children!

Prince William of England celebrates his 40th birthday today – a father beyond the norm. Unlike his own father, Prince Charles (73), he is always close to his descendants (8, 7, 4). Lawn mowing or first day school safety.

William once told the BBC, “I’m very focused on my role as a father. I want to show as much love to my children as I can.”

That too on official dates! The great joy with his children made him even more emotional: “You understand how precious life is. The thought of not seeing her grow up is so frightening.

William is ready for his role as the future king: “But I do not look forward to that moment …”

Because: “In our small universe we are a completely normal family.”
