No photoshop: Selena Gomez posts a bikini selfie with a scar

Instead of retouching her scars and bruises, Gomez uploaded an all-natural bikini photo.

Instead of being photographed as usual by a professional photographer who ultimately processes the photos, Gomez opts for a completely natural look. The American finally submitted a bikini selfie via Instagram story, in which not only was she wearing the two-piece swimsuit pictured above, but saw a scar on her right leg and a bruise on her left thigh:

Where did the scar come from?
At the end of 2020, Selena Gomez appeared in a swimsuit for the first time since a kidney transplant in the fall of 2015 and explained that she usually has her scar retouched in pictures. This time, though, she wanted to show it to all of her 242 million Instagram followers.

“I remember that after a kidney transplant it was very difficult to show my scar. I didn’t want it in the pictures so I wore things that would cover the scar. I’m more aware than ever of who I am and what I’ve been through…and I’m proud of that,” Gomez wrote. about this post.
