Before the start of the new season of “Die Höhle der Löwen,” TV presenter Vox made a special announcement on Wednesday: former football star and Germany captain Michael Ballack will present his own project on the show. Exactly the product that was included remained unlocked. According to information from Gründerszene, Ballack was initially only able to find an entry in the commercial register of an advisory agency he had set up.

But now there are new details. According to a report by Build Palack will introduce a product called Lucky Planet at the show. These are water soluble tablets that can be used as fertilizer for plants. The product description says this promotes “healthy root growth and the desire to thrive.” Lucky Plant GmbH from Walsrode in Lower Saxony also offers a powder suitable for fruit and vegetable seeds.

Ballack is a major shareholder in Lucky Planet

According to commercial registry data, former soccer player Michael Ballack is currently the company’s largest shareholder with about 40 percent. According to the company, Lucky Plant is a division of Agraforum, a research company that claims to develop “innovative products” for use in agriculture and growing fruit and vegetables. The company’s production plant is located in Walsrode.

The brand was founded in 2018 by South African biologist Johannes Christian Pretorius, agricultural scientists Thomas Hoster and Ryan Petendang and business graduate Christian Weiss. Hüster and Weiß are also the managing directors of Agraforum and Lucky Plant. Ballack has not yet appeared in the communications and marketing of organic fertilizers.

It is not yet known how much money Ballack himself has invested in the company and how much he intends to collect from the lions for his product. The exact broadcast date is still pending. In any case, Ballack’s appearance should attract the company a lot of attention – regardless of whether there is a deal in the end or not.
