Dark mode settings for each site
More and more websites are offering a dark mode that can be activated in completely different ways. Some websites give the user a choice, while others pay attention to the browser settings. The browser, in turn, can monitor the settings of the operating system or have its own. With Chrome 96, it is now possible to specify this setting for each website if you wish. So you can use Website A independently of other settings in dark mode and Website B in normal mode.

Zoom for all mobile sites
The familiar two-finger gesture is usually used to zoom in on a smartphone. However, websites have the option to block this zoom so that it cannot be used. For this, the new zoom function of the browser comes into play, which has also been available on the desktop for many years. There is a new slider in the information overlay for each website for this purpose, which expands the entire section. You can see this in the screenshot above.
It is possible for websites to work with an adaptive size percentage or specification, such that zooming remains ineffective (also known as from the desktop). All you have to do is give it a try, but the new feature greatly increases the likelihood of a successful zoom. And if all else fails, you can make the detour only by taking a screenshot and zooming in.
