There’s nothing worse for your skin than the sight of red, black, or white dots around it. Acne is a universal badge known for ugliness. From childhood cartoons to modern-day movies and pop culture, whenever we want to show sight of disgust or the impression of ugliness, we show pimples and acne.

First of all, you have to understand the difference between acne and pimples. Acne is actually a disease that can be caused by a lot of different conditions including genetics, hormone changes, oily skin, high humidity, or even bad skincare products. Pimples are the symptoms of this horrifying disease.   Are toners good for acne

Different kinds of acne include Blackheads, these are the ones that are puddled in your skin’s pores and most of their, ahem…, “Materials” are inside your skin, leaving a long horizontal hole in your skin when popped. Blackheads are mostly dry and occur later in life because of bad skincare routines, or even no skincare at all. Then there are the Whiteheads, these are the ones you usually get when you are going through puberty, this one is both in and out of your skin and will leave a black site when popped, usually lasting for months, there are a lot of reasons why they might happen and among them is hormone changes, which is why they happen during puberty as well.

Of course, you have your normal every day, Papules. These are the small red and pink dots on the surface of the skin, this usually happens when you don’t wash or moisturize your face regularly, it’s mostly your own sweat, dried and trapped on your skin, which is why it’s easy to remove with little or no reason to believe that they ever existed.

Then there are the Cysts. These are the large liquid-filled bumps under your skin. They might be painful as well. Cysts are harder to remove and will definitely leave a mark if popped. Cysts might happen because of a long period of no skincare, or a severe case of oily skin, but there’s always the chance of it happening because of a skin condition, so if you keep getting them, it might be worth visiting your GP over it.

But the monster of them all, the worst one, the horrifying, terrible looking, and painful Nodules. Ughhhhhh, even thinking about them gives me PTSD. This is the worst thing that can happen to your skin in the acne world. These are not even liquid or oil. They can be bigger than 1 centimeter in diameter and will go deep under the skin. There’s no way in hell you can pop them. This will give you pain. It’s usually described as a lump under the skin and it’s actually developed because of abnormal growth of skin tissue. It can be described as the cancer of the acne world. Believe me, when I tell you, you don’t wanna know what they are, if you are lucky enough to not know already.

But regardless of the fact which acne type you got, or what is causing it. There are things you can do to stop and remove them permanently. Even if it’s genetics. Remember that genetically getting acne won’t stop you from treating it. All acne is treatable.

Depending on what they are caused by, they can be treated with a chemical called benzoyl peroxide and azelaic acid. Antibiotics will be helpful if the cause is bacteria or infections. There are more expensive treatments available, like lasers and light therapy, and peeling your skin.

Prevention is always better than treatment. Wash your skin frequently, specifically if you have an oily skin type. Use sunscreen whenever you are exposed and remember to reapply it every two hours. Use moisturizers and keep your skin hydrated at all times. Don’t touch your face when your hands are not clean and lastly, try to use non-oil-based makeup products.

But I don’t see any reason for you to go that way while there’s a super easy path here. You can use a “Toner” instead of going around in circles trying to find a solution. Toners are skincare products that are designed for cleansing facial skin in particular. Toners also shrink the size of the pores on your skin and might help you remove them, alongside other products, if you use them regularly. Toners also moisturize your skin and peel a top layer of dead skin cells to give you a fresh and new skin layer.

With all of these benefits, and in particular, its skin pore shrinking and facial cleansing, toner is your long-term solution for acne. A reliable solution will come into effect in a few weeks.
