7,000 patients are hospitalized, for the first time since the beginning of June

The resumption of the epidemic was confirmed Monday evening, with more than 7,000 people hospitalized, including 1,000 in critical care الرعاية

The number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals rose to more than 7,000 on Monday, including nearly 1,000 in critical care, according to figures from Public Health France which testify to the resumption of the pandemic.

With 607 new hospitalizations in 24 hours, 7,079 Covid patients are now being treated in hospitals, versus 6,843 on Sunday. The number of new hospitalizations nearly doubled compared to last Monday (360).

40 million were vaccinated for the first time

Meanwhile, critical care services received 135 new patients in 24 hours, compared to 16 on Sunday. That number of new 24-hour intensive care admissions hasn’t been very high since the beginning of June. In total, 952 people were hospitalized in these services that treat the most severe cases, compared to 886 on Sunday and 902 a week ago.

45 Covid-19 patients died within 24 hours, bringing the number of people who died in hospital to 85,183 and a total of 11,688.

No new pollution figures were available after Monday. On the vaccination front, Emmanuel Macron announced on Monday that 40 million vaccines have been crossed for the first time.
