It appears that the gas was transported back through the Baltic Sea pipeline Nord Stream 1. This is documented by public network data from the pipeline operator.
Accordingly, more than 50,000 kilowatt-hours of gas flowed between 2 pm and 5 pm on Tuesday. According to Nord Stream 1, this had something to do with the necessary technical pressure equalization, as the gas pipeline is currently operational and will start operating again from Thursday (July 21). Russian President Putin announced that the gas would then flow to Germany again.
According to Reuters, Gazprom intends to supply gas again after the end of maintenance work, but in reduced quantities as they were before the closure. It is not known if this is for political reasons or because of the turbines that are still missing.

Gazprom had caused uncertainty with its statements
Russia’s Gazprom has questioned the continued operation of the Nord Stream 1 pipeline against the background of repairs. Regular maintenance work on the Nord Stream pipeline began on July 11. Gas storage in Germany almost stopped when the flow of gas through the Baltic Sea Pipeline stopped.
