Accor presents the Emblems Collection, the latest collection of luxury hotels, cementing the French hotel group’s position in the upscale sector.
With a portfolio of more than 5,000 hotels and resorts in 110 countries, Accor is one of the largest hotel groups of our time. To cement its position as a leading host, French group Emblems is unveiling its new collection of luxury hotels and first-class resorts, which will include around 60 hotels around the world by 2030, as Accor recently did in one Official press release announced.
Luxury hotels
By creating Emblems, Accor aims to replicate the success already achieved with another brand in the group: MGallery Hotel Collection, a group that now includes more than 100 boutique hotels around the world.
Unlike the MGallery group of hotels, Emblems is more geared towards the luxury sector and includes only exceptional luxury hotels. Emblems Hotels is located in exclusive surroundings, with beautiful pools and lively common areas:
The hotels listed in the Emblems Collection are in demand by travelers looking for an exceptional boutique hotel experience and hoteliers who prefer independent brands with the benefit of the accompaniment of a world class partner.
Sebastian Bazin, CEO of Accor
In order to meet the high expectations of its customers, Accor has decided to divide the hotels and resorts that will join Emblems into three categories: Emblems Collection Heritage, Emblems Collection Retreat and Emblems Collection Signature. Each group will be distinguished by a separate offer tailored to the needs of different travelers.
- Emblems Collection Heritage: This group includes hotels that have become iconic because of their destination and properties that celebrate the history and cultural traditions of the places in which they are located.
- Emblems Collection Retreat: This collection includes resorts with pristine beaches, countryside or mountain ranges that offer luxurious spas, wellness experiences, holistic treatments and the opportunity to unwind through a ritual of tranquility and well-being.
- Emblems Collection Signature: This collection will include design hotels that embody a world of aesthetics, paying homage to the style and spirit of the hotel’s builders or early occupants who helped shape the hotel’s unique legacy.
The Emblems Collection Heritage and Signature Collection are located in some of the most beautiful cities in the world such as Paris, Prague, London, Marrakech and Doha, while the Emblems Collection Retreat hotels are located in wellness destinations such as Tuscany, Mykonos, Bodrum, Algarve, Bali and Gold Coast in Australia and the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
For the first time in China
The first Emblem Hotel is scheduled to open in December 2022, that is, in exactly one year. The group’s first flagship will be the Guiyang Art Center Hotel, Emblems Collection, located in the Chinese province of Guizhou. Originally built as a luxury private residence in the provincial capital, this luxury hotel will delight guests with its spacious outdoor areas, lush gardens and serenity ambiance.
Guiyang, the “summer resort capital” of China, is one of the country’s fastest growing cities, and is a popular tourist attraction and destination for seasoned travelers from China and other countries. “China is one of the largest hotel markets in the world, making it the perfect location for Accor to introduce this new luxury brand,” said Gary Rosen, general manager of major Accor in China.

Conclusion on the new Accor brand logos
The waiting time won’t be too long. Within a year, the first hotel in the Emblems collection will welcome guests in a charming setting. About 60 hotels are expected to open by 2030, in both Paris and Australia’s Gold Coast. Although there is little information circulating about which hotels will join Emblems, this new group looks very promising.
