Hotzone Solutions and Serstech AB signed a cooperative agreement in early November to enhance collaborative efforts.

Under the agreement, Hotzone will develop a precursor database and Chemical Warfare Agent (CWA) integration into the 100 Raman spectrometry device from Serstech. Hotzone will be tasked with the sales of the CWA-capable device.

Serstech specializes in information technology (IT) and spectroscopy development. It was founded in 2006. The company’s products have been able to provide chemical identification solutions.

Hotzone stated that it has experience with these kinds of devices in areas that have seen conflict and environments where chemical, biological, nuclear and radiological (CBRN) agents have been present. With this and the experience of Serstech, the company anticipates that the partnership between both companies will be able to enhance chemical screening, verification and identification activity through this device.

Hotzone Solutions serves as an international consultation and training company to facilitate global preparedness and response to CBRN threats, explosives and related materials for military, civil and law enforcement related applications.

Serstech is based in Sweden. Its focus is creating chemical awareness in society. The company offers the ChemDash IT platform and several identification devices that are capable of detecting chemicals, narcotics and explosives.
