JPEO-CBD announces upcoming industry day event

JPEO-CBD announces upcoming industry day event.
The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD) announced an industry day event that will take place Dec. 8.

This industry event will be focused on a draft omnibus contract and concept for Joint Enterprise Research, Development, Acquisition and Production/Procurement (JE-RDAP). It will serve as a central point to facilitate the development, engineering, production and procurement of non-medical defense systems and equipment to counteract chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive (CBRNE) threats.

Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the presented drafts and concepts. Registration for the event is available at the Natick Contracting Division Website. Feedback is welcome from small and large businesses.

The event will be taking place at the Myer Auditorium located at Combat Dr. at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. The event is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. and will conclude at noon.

The JPEO-CBD anticipates that this omnibus contract will facilitate the awarding of several contracts, with a potential maximum value of $7.81 billion. Areas of focus that are noted by the announcement include radiation and nuclear defense systems, elimination systems for weapons of mass destruction, information systems and other associated CBRNE applications.
