Utah National Guard seeking CBRN air technician specialist.
The Utah National Guard is seeking an air technician position that is open to current members of the Utah Air and Army National Guard, the group announced on Oct. 20.

This position is tasked with providing support and management of the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) program. This includes the analysis of CBRN related reports, data and this position will be expected to evaluate effectiveness of Ability to Survive and Operate Tactics and installation of techniques and procedures. This position will support counter-CBRN functions within the Department of Defense’s Sense, Shape, Shield and Sustain (S4) program.

This position will also oversee equipment sets that consists of identification and detection devices for CBRN and hazardous materials, assay kits, air purification masks and other related items. Activity in this regard will include inventory, preventative maintenance, calibration and ensuring that pieces of equipment are at operational status.

To be considered for this position candidates must be a member of the Utah Air or Army National Guard. The individual selected will be required to have a compatible military grade and position by the effective date of job placement. This position’s military compatibility is E9X1.

This position requires significant knowledge and experience with CBRN, ATSO and HAZMAT programs, regulations and policies. This person will also need to have significant understanding of readiness and emergency management, disaster preparedness and response and equipment custodian rules and tenants.
