Mutualink Multimedia Gateway selected to aid Department of Defense exercise

Maryland-based Mutualink, Inc. said Monday it will act as a core capability at the Joint Users Interoperability Communications Exercise (JUICE) for . the fourth year in a row.

JUICE is presented by the U.S. Army and includes representatives from many coalitions and agencies. It focuses on multimedia interoperable communications and collaboration technology and how it can connect people and businesses anywhere in the world as well as all branches of the military and federal, state and local governments.

The theme of JUICE 2015 is "Expeditionary Communications in a Joint Information Environment." The event will help train, validate and asses warfighter communications capabilities.

The hub for all activities will be Mutualink's Multimedia Gateway (MMGtm) and will allow JUICE attendees to participate in exercises in real time.

"Military and coalition personnel are faced with an increasingly complex communication environment, and real-time information sharing can mean the difference between a mission's success or failure," Mutualink Defense Services Director Sonny Blinkinsop said. "We're honored to be deeply involved with JUICE to help strengthen national security and emergency preparedness through improved multiagency communications and joint information sharing capabilities. Our platform is a cost effective, always on, always available, on demand capability that selectively bridges not only voice, but also allows for the secure sharing of critical ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) assets among partners to help improve situational awareness."

JUICE 2015 will run through the month of June.
