Conklin, Harris selected as MRIGlobal vice presidents

MRIGlobal recently promoted Robert Conklin and Roger Harris to vice presidents of the company.

Conklin will take the post of vice president of Defense and Infrastructure. Before this appointment, he served as the director of the company's Intelligence and Reconnaissance division. He has worked with MRIGlobal for more than 25 years. In his new position, he will oversee financial and technical performance of biosurveillance, energy infrastructure, engineering and chemical defense work at the company.

Harris served as the associate vice president of Global Health Security. As vice president, Harris will oversee research activities in areas relating to medical countermeasures, diagnostics, product development and repository management. He has worked with MRIGlobal for more than 30 years, and has experience managing research staff who took part in studying avian flu and teams involved with the National Cancer Institute's Chemopreventative Agent Repository.

Conklin holds a master's in physical chemistry from the University of Denver, and Harris holds a Ph.D in organic chemistry from Pennsylvania State University.
