Obsidian seeks planning and exercise specialist
The person would be responsible for planning, supporting, guiding and carrying out inter and intra-agency exercises. They also will be expected to support additional homeland security-related exercises, to draft and contribute to progress reports, and to support overall program leadership. This person also will act as a representative for the company in all interactions within or outside of the company, specifically with clients.
The position requires a bachelor's degree in a field related to the position and a minimum of five years working in professional exercise coordination. Preference will be given to those who have worked in an area within homeland security.
Candidates should provide evidence of their knowledge of the inner-workings of the Department of Homeland Security, as well as their abilities in research, communication and analysis. Those with experience in public health also will be given preference.
Candidates should show proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
The finalist will undergo a security clearance investigation and will be required to meet eligibility requirements in order to gain security clearance necessary for this position.
