Legislative branch hiring senior program manager

The U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms Office of Protective Services and Continuity is looking to fill a position for a senior program manager.

The position will be based out of Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities of the senior program manager include the development, implementation, testing, monitoring and coordination of emergency preparedness, response and recovery. The senior program manager reports to the director of the Sergeant at Arms Office of Protective Services and Continuity.

Specific duties of the position include serving as senior project manager on assigned projects, assisting the director in performing project management roles and managing programs during any contingency that include plans for the relocation of the Senate to an off-site location.

Qualifications for the position include a bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and three to five years experience in disaster relief response planning, law enforcement or security operations. Specialized skills required for the position include knowledge of vulnerability assessment and threat analysis in the legislative branch and the ability to develop effective working relationships with Senate staff and local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

The security clearance for the senior program manager is top secret.

The salary for the position is between $84,960 and $127,439 per year.
