EOUSA, USAO seek emergency management specialist

The Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA) and the U.S. Attorneys' Office (USAO) within the Department of Justice are looking to hire an emergency management specialist.

The position will be based in Washington, D.C., with a salary range of between $75,621 and $98,305 per year.

If hired, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing many operational, logistical, programmatic and administrative aspects of the offices. They will also initiate, develop and deliver oral and written presentations to EOUSA and USAO staff.

The emergency management specialist will also serve as the manager of the EOUSA Emergency Watch Center.

Candidates for the G-12 position must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service, including the planning, directing or managing disaster field operations. The experience must also include liaising and collaborating with local, state, regional and federal emergency preparedness officials, as well as coordinating with outside partners and communicating with senior leaders.

The experience could be obtained in either the public or private sector. Occasional travel is required as part of the emergency management specialist's duties.

If selected, the applicant may undergo a one-year probationary period. The deadline to apply to the position is Aug. 15.
