Soligenix seeks project manager for vaccines, biodefense

Soligenix, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, recently announced that it is seeking a project manager for its growing vaccines and biodefense business unit, according to a hiring notice posted on the company's website.

The position, which will be based out of Princeton, N.J., will require some travel.

The individual hired for the position will be responsible for providing the full scope of project leadership to support the vaccines and biodefense business unit and report to the chief scientific officer (CSO). The project manager will support the CSO in developing and completing projects within agreed upon budgets and timelines.

The person hired will oversee the activities of staff and contractors, develop project plans and timelines, coordinate and participate in the completion of pre-clinical studies, coordinate and participate in follow-up requests, manage project budget and specifications on projects, coordinate the efforts of all key departments, manage the generation of all necessary reports, author grant applications and reports, and identify problems and coordinate tasks to solve them.

Candidates must have project management experience, a Ph.D. in a scientific discipline and a minimum of five to eight years of vaccine development experience. The project manager must also have experience in implementing process and systems and experience in federal grant funding activities.
