Emergency Communications Network acquires DEAN Alert

The Emergency Communications Network (ECN) recently acquired DEAN Alert, a provider of outbound notification services.

The acquisition is the fifth in a partnership between ECN and the global equity firm The Riverside Company, according to a PRWeb press release.

ECN acquired all of DEAN Alert's intellectual and property and technical resources as part of the agreement, and ECN's Integration Team already completed the transition of many newly-acquired clients to SmartNotice, the network's staff and business continuity notification system.

"Before we complete any acquisition, we want to make sure that we have the client's best interest in mind," David DiGiacomo, the president of ECN, said. "The SmartNotice solution is an immediate upgrade to their existing system and is run on the same platform as our outstanding CodeRED solution. As we continue to welcome our new clients to the ECN family, we are already hearing how our technology is helping make a difference in their individual organizations by providing an integrated approach to staff notification."

Anchorage Public Schools in Kentucky, where DEAN Alert is based, already transitioned to SmartNotice.

"We really like the features that are enhanced above what we were using before," Kelley Ransdell, the superintendent of the school district, said. "The system seems easy to use and we like that it can be customized to exactly how we want to use it."
