Kratos receives $32 million in contracts for U.S. national security programs

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., a national security solutions provider, announced on Monday that its Modular Systems Division (KMSD) received approximately $32 million in contract awards to support U.S. national security programs.

KMSD will provide specialty products and systems to support the programs, which include radar, missile system and warfighter support programs. The work performed under the contract awards will be performed at secure Kratos manufacturing facilities. Kratos will provide no additional information related to the programs due to customer-related and other considerations.

"Our entire organization is proud to have recently received these specialized product orders supporting these incredibly important programs and national security focused customers," Tom Mills, the president of KMSD, said. "With these recent new program orders, June 2014 KMSD bookings came in at approximately $64 million, a record for our organization, positioning KMSD for a strong second half of fiscal 2014."

KMSD designs, engineers, manufactures and integrates specialty modular systems and products to support the national security programs of the U.S. and its allies. The division's products support programs related to CBRNE sensing, the electromagnetic rail gun, radar and missile systems, unmanned systems, and surveillance and reconnaissance platforms.
