Kratos receives $9.9 million to support U.S. national security program

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., a security solutions provider, announced on Tuesday that its Molecular Systems Division (KMSD) received a $9.9 million contract to provide support to a U.S. national security program.

Under the terms of the contract award for specialty products and systems, KMSD will provide products supporting command, control, communication and electronics systems for a U.S. government agency program. Kratos will perform the contracted work at a secure Kratos manufacturing facility.

"The receipt of this order from this very important customer is testimony and representative of the relationships we have with this critical customer and its confidence in our organization," Tom Mills, the president of KMSD, said.

Due to customer-related and other considerations, Kratos will not provide any additional information about the program.

KMSD products support leading technology and disruptive programs, including unmanned systems; surveillance, intelligence and reconnaissance programs; the electromagnetic rail gun; radar and missile systems; and CBRNE sensing programs.

Kratos provides engineering, manufacturing and system integration offerings for national security programs and platforms. Its areas of expertise include cybersecurity, intelligence, unmanned systems, satellite communication systems, missile defense and critical infrastructure security. The company's primary end customers are national security-related agencies.
