The Pentagon Force Protection Agency is looking to hire a supervisory CBRNE investigative specialist.
The hiring period lasts until June 9, with a salary ranging from $106,263 to $138,136 for the position.
The specialist will serve as the CBRNE Response Division (CRD) chief and provide direction and guidance to other supervisors. The person hired will direct the operations of CRD supervisors as they prepare teams to operate in hazardous environments, as well as participate directly in evidence collection, material sampling and decontamination operations.
The supervisory CBRNE investigative specialist will also be called upon to testify as an expert witness in court proceedings related to CBRNE incidents. They will be expected to develop relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement, as well as other emergency response agencies.
Candidates for the position will be evaluated on their knowledge of CBRNE hazards and criminal use of CBRNE-related weapons of mass destruction. The ability to communicate professionally and effectively in writing and orally is also required.
The position requires Hazardous Materials Technician certification from the Department of Defense, as well as a valid driver's license. The person hired will need to be in a constant state of physical readiness, as well as remain clean shaven in order to operate respiratory protection equipment.
If selected, the candidate will be expected to travel up to 30 percent of their duty time.
