2014 PERRC scheduled for April 13-16 in Orlando

The Chesapeake Health Education Program, Inc., is sponsoring the 2014 Preparedness, Emergency Response, and Recovery Consortium and Exposition on April 13-16 in Orlando.

The consortium will take place at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel & Convention Center. It consists of pre-consortium workshops on April 13, the main consortium on April 14-16 and the exposition on April 14-15.

The consortium seeks to bring together emergency management, volunteer, public health, medical and healthcare personnel involved in disaster recovery and response efforts to discuss shared practices in mitigation, preparedness and recovery and response. Subject matter experts will share lessons learned during response and recovery in emergencies and how they impacted community and healthcare infrastructure. The presentations will focus on aspects of coordination and collaboration between various stakeholders and organizations related to healthcare response, disaster preparedness, recovery operations and rescue and evacuation.
