Smiths Detection awarded contract for bottled liquid scanners
The contract is estimated to be worth $6.8 million and the scanners will be used at U.S. airport passenger screening checkpoints.

The Responde BLS is a small system that utilizes Raman spectroscopy technology to find hazardous liquids in sealed bottles. The scan and determination of the liquids can be completed within 20 seconds.
