TASC gains certification as Navy validator

TASC, Inc., a San Diego-based national security and public safety solution company, recently announced that it was certified as a Fully Qualified Navy Validator.

The Office of Navy Certifying Authority in San Diego certified TASC after the company took part in a rigorous review process. TASC received documentation of advanced certifications across multiple disciplines, including information assurance, systems engineering and integration and cybersecurity.

"The FQNV designation assures the Navy that we have the deep expertise and right capabilities to help the fleet maintain dominance with high quality, integrated weapons systems and a firm commitment to complying with budget requirements," Tom Kilcline, the vice president of TASC's Defense Business Unit, said. "It validates that TASC stands ready to keep pace with technological innovation and, more important, usher in a new era of support for our Navy customers."

Since its founding in 1966, TASC supported the U.S. Navy with integration, advanced systems engineering and decision support services. TASC provides services to the U.S. Department of Defense, the intelligence community and the civilian agencies of the federal government.

According to TASC's website, the company has helped the U.S. government defend, deter and defeat weapons of mass destruction for close to 50 years. The company said it provides the in-depth knowledge needed to counter the complete spectrum of WMDs.
