Celestar Corporation receives contract with U.S. State Department

Celestar Corporation, a Tampa, Florida-based provider of consulting services, announced a contract on Wednesday with the U.S. State Department to support a program meant to prevent the smuggling of nuclear weapons.

Celestar will provide analytic support to the Office of Weapons of Mass Destruction Terrorism's Prevention of Nuclear Weapon Smuggling Program. In collaboration with Computer Sciences Corporation and Operational Surveyors, LLC, the Celestar team will support the Nuclear Smuggling Outreach Initiative and the Smuggling Response Team within the PNSP.

The prime contract includes a one-year base period and four one-year options.

Celestar was recently a sponsor of the chapter charter celebration of the Greater Tampa Bay chapter of Women in Defense, a national security organization that supports the advancement of women in all areas of national security. All members of the non-profit organization have careers related to national security and U.S. defense.
