Countermeasure experts join Martin, Blanck & Associates

Health services consulting practice Martin, Blanck & Associates recently announced the additions of two senior partners, both with extensive experience with the Department of Defense.

Before joining Martin, Blanck & Associates, Kate Eltzroth held various positions within DOD's Military Health System for more than 25 years. She managed hospital-based healthcare delivery, programmed Army Medical Research, Development, Test and Evaluation projects, and later worked as an independent consultant to several government relations firms. Her last 10 years in the department were spent in the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command.

Dr. Bruce Ruscio has worked in the public health sector for nearly 25 years. Before agreeing to join Martin, Blanck and Associates, he worked in directorial positions for more than 14 years with the DoD, Air Force, and Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Inc. Most recently, Ruscio was the executive director for science and global public policy for NVD. He was responsible for vaccine and medical counter measures policy assessment, analysis and development.

"We are delighted to have such two accomplished individuals joining the firm," Martin, Blanck & Associates Chairman Dr. Ron Blanck said. "Kate's medical research experience is highly regarded by our clients and Bruce's reputation in the biodefense and preparedness field broadens our existing practice."
