URS Corporation to provide support to DTRA

URS Corporation, an engineering, construction and technical services provider, has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract from the Department of Defense to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Cooperative Threat Reduction Program.

The five year base term, multiple award contract, which is followed by a one year option period, has a maximum aggregate value of approximately $950 million if the option period is exercised. As part of the re-compete award, URS will provide engineering, training, facilities maintenance and management services to the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program. The program is meant to promote cooperative efforts between the United States and other countries to safeguard and eliminate weapons of mass destruction.
