NABCO receives Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technologies status

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced that the explosive containment vessels and magazines manufactured by NABCO, Inc., have been approved as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technologies under the Support-Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002.

To qualify under the SAFETY Act, NABCO needed to go through an 18 month application, selection and due diligence process that lead to the qualification of its EOD Grabber Pole, Total Containment Explosive Magazines, Suspect Parcel Containment Vessels and Total Containment Vessels.

“This is an important designation that recognizes NABCO as a critical provider of anti-terrorism solutions for those with responsibility for safeguarding the country against evolving threats," Frank Tobin, CEO of NABCO, Inc., said, “This qualification sends an important signal to the market and our customers that NABCO is considered a valuable partner in the country’s homeland defense.”

NABCO Explosive Magazines and Total Containment Vessels have been used by military, law enforcement and security personnel throughout the world in responding to emergency response, improvised explosive devices and other chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.

The SAFETY Act was created to encourage developing and rapidly deploying anti-terrorism technologies by providing companies that develop the technologies with liability protection from lawsuits for "claims arising out of, relating to, or resulting from an act of terrorism" when deploying qualified technologies.
