MRIGlobal launches online detection-equipment guide

MRIGlobal said Tuesday that it has launched a database of current detection equipment for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE), called the CBRNE Tech Index, Digital Journal said.

The index will allow manufacturers to post their products with applicable information so that interested buyers and others can search the system and compare different technologies and their capabilities.

The company specializes in the independent testing, validation and evaluation of detection technology and instruments that are used by clients in government or industrial settings.

Items that could be found in the online index can range from relatively simple testing strips that indicate the presence of certain compounds via colors, to highly specialized, state-of-the-art lab equipment. The index will include independent reviews of the items by experts in the field and from users of the equipment.

The website categorizes each type of detection in large, general sections, such as chemical detection or biological detection. Within the more general categories, more specialized categories allow users to pinpoint the type of technology they need. There is also a section offering the company's testing and evaluation services.
The site will be showcased at PITTCON Conference and Expo 2015,  March 8-12 in New Orleans.
