Desktop Alert service named Best Mass Notification System

Desktop Alert's emergency notification system -- used by the military, corporations and health care organizations -- was honored by the Government Security News online publication as the Best Mass Notification System, Desktop Alert said Monday.

The system is a platform that can send out notifications to thousands of computer in an emergency, such as a terrorist attack. Those who do not answer are contacted through other means, such as phones or mobile devices.

The company is the official provider of alert systems to several branches and institutions within the armed forces, including the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Desktop Alert also provides an array of end-point integrations with customers' public address systems (Giant Voice), intercom systems, commanders channels, e-mail platforms, DSN-based and cloud-based telephony and SMS message systems, network desktop alert popups, national weather service ZIP code-based alerts, digital signage, cable TV, numerous social media systems, CAP server alerts, external system sensors and fire-alarm systems.
