Defense Threat Reduction Agency seeks research proposals

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) released the requirements for its Chemical/Biological Technologies Department Non-Traditional Agent Initiatives Broad Agency Announcement Program Build on Sept. 12.

The Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) solicits research proposals to the Chemical and Biological Defense Program in the area of Advanced and Emerging Threats. The proposals should support the mission of identifying and developing technologies to assist in countering new chemical threats.

The program should expand the scientific knowledge available to develop enhanced defensive capabilities against a Non-Traditional Agent (NTA) threat. An emphasis should be placed on data gaps associated with emerging chemical threats. Tasks of the program include building a spectral and toxicological database to help advance NTA and defense technology.
